At this time, we are working on two major projects:

MOQA (Meaning-Oriented Question Answering) is sponsored by ARDA under its AQUAINT program. It is a comprehensive system-level effort covering all three main technical areas of the ARDA AQUAINT program: question understanding and interpretation, determining the answer, and presenting the answer.

BOAS II is funded by the intelligence community and is a part of the effort run by Boyan Onyshkevych and Kathi Taylor through ITIC. It is devoted to improving and extending BOAS, an interactive system that elicits knowledge about any language L from a speaker of that language and of English (this person does not need to be a trained linguist). BOAS I was developed under the guidance of Dr. Nirenburg and Dr. McShane at NMSU CRL as a part of its Expedition project.
